This site has grown out of a need many people have for improving their English, and its purpose is to provide the best possible help to any and all people here in China that want to improve their English. And the best part of it all is that everything is FREE OF CHARGE!

For many years now, I have noticed that people who were preparing to go abroad or those wanting to improve their English would attend expensive "English" classes. Students I talked to would rave about how good the classes were, but when I saw their writing, or asked them questions about what they were taught, I realized they didn't learn so much. Actually I realized that many students were being misinformed about how to write, and did not possess a strong understanding of the most basic rules of writing. Furthermore, the problem is that many teachers in China will explain and express their thoughts in a way very different from those in the west. Even if Chinese and westerners have the same opinion about an idea, the way to express that idea, form an argument and make a conclusion are totally different. However many students in China have no idea about this. The boiling point came when a friend of mine paid an expensive "expert" a very large sum of money per hour to assist him with his writing. Not only was the teaching of little use, but many of my friend’s writing problems also went uncorrected. I just felt that when you put your hope in something and you get very little in return, it can inspire hopelessness, and that's unacceptable.

My goal is to provide a platform where students can come to this site, submit their writing, and get real advice from those who truly have an expertise in writing, and I want to make it free so everyone has an equal opportunity to have access to quality teaching. Also my goal is to help people understand what a "good" writing class really is...that it's more than just clever jokes or words of encouragement. It is teaching from a person who cares about YOUR personal development and teaching where your work, your words, and ideas can be personally corrected by a native English speaker. Finally you, the student, come first!

While I spend hours per day trying to make corrections to your writing, I want you to know I'm not perfect and I might make some mistakes. Please forgive me in advance if that does happen. Just know that I hope this can be an experience where you and I can both grow and develop together, and I will do my best to help you reach your individual goals. My personal goal is to create a real English thinking and writing environment (a writing heaven) for those Chinese students who are interested in English learning and who want to have a real English communication/ practice experience!
